![]() ![]() I have ordered from Maya Taqueria several times over the past year, and usually the food hits the spot. Not including this "customer is wrong" approach that I experienced, everything else was great, right on down to the Mexican Coca-Cola. I just wish I hadn't been given so much attitude. A couple minutes later someone else brought me the correct burrito. After repeating multiple times what I wanted, she begrudgingly took away my burrito. So when she came back I told her it was wrong, and then she started arguing with me. So I took a bite and it was indeed wrong. When the lady who took my order came out and handed me a "veggie with rice" burrito, I asked "you mean no rice?" as I ordered my burrito with refried beans and no rice or pico de gallo. It wasn't ALL bad, but it seems as though my experience mirrored that of a few other reviewers. The location is a real hole in the wall, which only makes it feel even more authentic. As advertised, this is true California style, with prices to match. My husband had a veggie also, and our friends had nachos and tacos, both of which looked amazing. ![]() The burrito itself was absolutely delicious. You can also choose to have it "naked" (just the basics) or with fillings like tofu, spinach, mushrooms, etc. I got a veggie burrito, which already comes with the stuff a super burrito has (no need to pay extra for guacamole, like so many places make you do). updated the stars to 3 from 2 because both the establishmemt and my coworkers played a part in my dry taco order but the tacos were good and they arrived hot & thats always a plus.Totally delicious Mexican food that reminds me of home (California). its just the little things like the salsa that the restaurant chef may pride him/herself on, that was forgotten that brings out the exceptional flavor of the dish s/he created, because when it comes to phenomenal food, every single ingredient counts. not sure my co workers knew they could take what they needed as they left, but the waiter could have mentioned it and maybe a sign could be posted, not that I know if there is one. The "dry tacos" comment was only because no condiments were provided. But because I need to eat, I'll eat my dry steak tacos since I have no choice and regular hot sauce just won't do. Sooooo being swamped at work, and two co workers offering to pick me up lunch seemed like a godsend.they mentioned they were coming here for lunch, didn't mind.no way you can mess up tacos, but to have lunch brough back and not have any accompaniments for them is terrible!! The best part of a taco is the Mexican salsa with the lemon/ lime to enhance the flavors.so disappointed. For that alone, I suggest not going here. This place truly has bad vibes and energy. They are a slightly mashed version of the pinto beans. Also the refried beans are not actually refried. ![]() It seems like they're catering to the white folks in the area cause this is not flavorful Mexican food. I told the girl with the blondish streaked hair again and again she responded with an attitude. There was no lime or any type of sauce provided. The food finally comes out and my order was wrong and the guacamole was missing. Also the utensils don't seem to get restocked regularly because there was only one knife. In the mean time we got two cups of the free water which was very hot and no place to actually get ice. We sit in the back which is quite nice but wait more than 20 min for the food to come out. We order our food and the girl at the cashier with the blond hair gives me an attitude because I asked something about the menu. First, it's expensive and truly not worth the price for this mediocre food and even worse service. ![]()
